Head of Engineering for Facebook Payments

Led end to end payments platform and products for Facebook, while managing a team of 300+ engineers and engineering managers. * Enabled career growth opportunities for many engineers and created new engineering leaders within the organization. * Contributed to leadership and engineering hiring across Facebook. * Responsible for Payments platform that processed over $15B annual payments, supported 50+ payment methods and 49 currencies across 109 countries. * Made significant contributions to advertisers growth on Facebook through enhanced prepaid account features and by improving the advertiser billing experience. * Major contribution to Innovating cloud based tokenization transaction, creating new way for secure commerce platform on Facebook with third party merchants. * Championed and contributed to Modularizing Payments platform that reduced the build and integration time to launch new payment use cases across the family of apps from months to less than a week. * Championed Reliability improvements and drove system stability and infrastructure to get to 99.9% for key payments components and services. * Participated in hackathon projects, did hands on Android development for it for very initial phase, and it eventually became a successful product launch for new way to buy and sell within Facebook groups. and overall helped build payments use cases across Facebook.

Microsoft Online Customer Portal (MOCP) is the portal used by customers to directly manage their subscriptions, pending orders, and their Partner Solution Advisors (PSA) assignments. In the first release of MOCP, I worked on developing a credit card based billing platform utilizing Subscription Commerce Platform infrastructure to manage purchases and provisioning in a startup team. In the later releases, I worked on integrating and developing custom solutions around the MetraTech Billing platform to enable purchases using the credit cards and invoices for online services and to implement syndicated based billing.
