Raised ~$20M in capital from a global network of angels, super angels, corporate investors, and family offices—securing a strategic early investment from Covidien Plc that ultimately led to a $175M acquisition by Medtronic. Oversaw all aspects of the business, including product development and design, fundraising,finance, operations, legal, and IP strategy. Achieved CE Mark for European market entry and drove FDA pre-submission efforts in preparation for U.S. commercialization.

    Served as Google’s first senior public relations and marketing hire, later promoted to a leadership role in business development. Acted as the company’s spokesperson, crafting and launching a grassroots public relations strategy that elevated Google from a nascent brand to a household name. Enhanced the visibility of Google, its co-founders, and the company culture. Secured it first Webby award and launched the public relations rollout of the newly formed AdWords advertising platform. Promoted to business development to build and lead the AdWords teams in the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver, personally driving advertising revenue growth from $5,000 to $6 million. Played an early role in expanding Google’s mission, corporate culture, and brand recognition during its formative years. One of Google’s earlier employees, joining as employee #28.
