We are an active strategic investor and look to only deploy capital into businesses that support G.E.H.A’s mission: to empower the health and wellness of our members. G.E.H.A (Government Employees Health Association) is a self-insured, not-for-profit association providing medical and dental plans to federal employees and retirees and their families through the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program and the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). G.E.H.A provides benefits to more than 2 million people worldwide. What is the “The Federal Opportunity"? Serving over 8 million individuals, FEHB is the largest employer-sponsored health insurance program globally. FEHB is managed by the OPM (Office of Personnel Management). It covers federal employees at various agencies, retirees and their dependents. Notably - this is separate and distinct from TriCare, Medicare or Medicaid. This is the federal employee program for employees at agencies such as CMS, HHS, DOJ,IRS, etc. It encompasses a wide range of health plans (“carriers”), providing a diverse testing ground for innovative healthcare solutions. The scale alone makes it an attractive target for disruption and innovation, but it's the stability, predictability, and openness to innovation that truly classify it as "the federal opportunity."
