As the Foster Dog Director (and thereafter serving as Coordinator) for Paws4you Rescue's Foster Program, I played a key role in expanding outreach and strengthening our foster network. My responsibilities included: Program Expansion & Outreach: Grew community engagement and increased participation in the foster program. Application & Property Reviews: Evaluated foster applications, assessed properties, and reviewed condominium and HOA pet policies. Foster Matching & Coordination: Conducted interviews, facilitated meet-and-greets between potential fosters and dogs, facilitated the completion of foster-related legal forms, ensuring accuracy in applications, ID collection, and liability waivers, and managed foster placements. Medical & Logistical Coordination: Worked closely with the medical team to ensure each foster dog received proper care, coordinated vet appointments, and arranged medication delivery/pickup. Community Building & Support: Established an active foster parent community for experience-sharing and mentorship. Collaboration & Communication: Maintained ongoing communication with the shelter’s executive team and staff regarding foster dog status, performed regular check-ins with foster parents, and shared foster updates on social media and with the media team. Additional Program Development: Took on various initiatives to expand the program’s reach and impact. Through these efforts, I helped create a more connected and efficient foster program, ensuring that more dogs found loving temporary homes while awaiting permanent adoption.
