I led the Skill Proficiency Track for LinkedIn Learning Solutions ("LLS"), a global leader in the online learning market w/ 850M+ Learners. I was responsible for product strategy and execution across our suite of skill pro products and solutions, from standalone assessments to in-course exams and professional certificates. Partnered closely with product, PMM, and Content teams. * Pivoted our skill proficiency product strategy. Drove a hard, impactful, company-first decision to pivot our strategy away from standalone skill assessments towards a set of more trustworthy and valuable measurements of proficiency based on a mix of user, customer, and market data. This freed up resources to invest in higher-impact opportunities. * Led our FY25 retention growth strategy for LLS in collaboration with PMs, BizOps and DS. Built user lifecycle growth model; identified key gaps and opportunities within each segment through quant & qual research; and sized and prioritized opportunities to help shape LLS’s FY25 strategy and roadmap.

2012 - 2014

  • Founder

    2012 - 2014

Bootstrapped TheCrowdCafe into the leading provider of data & research on the global investment crowdfunding industry. * (Naively) wore many hats, from coding and writing to SEO, public speaking, and sales. Eventually delegated some functions, but not soon enough. Lesson learned. * With a little skill and a lot of luck (timing), dominated SEO for all things "equity crowdfunding". Business model: free inbound leads on the front-end; generated revenue by selling proprietary data, research and site sponsorships on the back-end. * Aggregated, wrangled, analyzed and published industry data to promote greater understanding of the investment crowdfunding industry and its potential. (Unfortunately, unrealized.) Presented research at 15+ conferences over two years. * Ultimately consider TCC a failed venture. Operating as a solo founder for two years led to burn out. But well worth the cost of admission. I matured tremendously —professionally and personally—and it's undoubtedly made me a more effective operator. Adversity is a great teacher. * As part of my employment agreement with CircleUp, I stopped work on TCC. The domain has since been sniped by a content farm.
