Soma was founded by Aneel Ranadive who built startups and Soma for a combined 20 yrs. Aneel comes from a lineage of entrepreneurship - his father Vivek Ranadive was an immigrant from Mumbai and built Tibco software from to billions in revenue as a profitable, public company (4.3b exit to Vista). Tibco digitized Wall Street in the 90's and scaled to power 80% of Fortune 500 companies. Vivek also seeded and mentored google, yahoo, salesforce, ebay, to steve jobs, and later bought the Golden State Warriors in 2010 and then the Sacramento Kings NBA team in 2013.
